IAS Products Ltd. offers two types of fish feeders for the aquaculture industry: above surface AeroSpreader™ and subsurface HydroSpreader™. For specific information on HydroSpreader™ feed broadcasters please refer to this section.
All IAS
AeroSpreader™ Feeding Systems provide these
advantages over other systems:
Improved Feed Conversion Ratios (FCRs)
AeroSpreader™ feeders
deliver more edible feed pellets to the pen resulting in improved feed
conversion ratios. AeroSpreader™ design
eliminates feed breakage, which means that virtually no feed is wasted
as dust. This is accomplished by maintaining 100% feed integrity from
the hopper into the broadcast airflow using the IAS proprietary eductor
which draws feed directly into the feed broadcast airflow. No augers,
rotary valves or other mechanical methods to force feed pellets into
the blower's airflow are used.
Maximum Production
AeroSpreader™
feeder's simple robust design ensures reliability and minimises downtime
due to equipment problems and the lost growth opportunities that result
from a missed feeding schedule. A maximum number of five moving or adjustable
parts reduce the possibility of equipment failure in AeroSpreader™
feeders.
Easy serviceability also holds AeroSpreader™
feeder downtime to a minimum. Often, remote farm operations are not
equipped to make extensive repairs. All moving or adjustable parts in
AeroSpreader™ feeders are modular in design
requiring only the simplest of tools to unplug, unbolt and replace.
In most cases no special training or education is required to insure
maximum equipment operation and performance.
Reliable operation of gasoline powered AeroSpreaders™
is enhanced by the use of engines from the world leader in small engine
technology, Honda.
Reduced Life Cycle Costs
AeroSpreader™ feeders
will last longer and require less maintenance over their lifetime. Our
products provide greater durability and longer life than products manufactured
using painted mild steel hoppers and components. IAS uses stainless
steel, marine grade aluminum and rotational-moulded polyethylene. The
use of these materials in combination ensures maximum strength, product
life and minimum corrosion.
