SeeView™ AQM
Automated Quality Management - Feeding Event Control

The SeeView™ AQM is a pellet monitoring system designed to provide farm operators with the ability to feed multiple cages simultaneously. SeeView™ AQM takes advantage of existing onsite underwater video camera equipment and builds on operator knowledge learned from observing and distinguishing uneaten feed pellets using these cameras.

SeeView AQM

Proprietary computer control software monitors multiple underwater cameras and tracks feed pellets moving across the monitor screen in exactly the same manner as a farm operator. Uneaten feed pellets are identified on the video screen, time stamped, logged and saved for review. When operators are comfortable with the consistency and accuracy of SeeView™ AQM, the system can be authorized to directly control the feed gate on the feed broadcaster at the camera location.

As farm sites increase in size a farm operator’s ability to monitor feed consumption using underwater cameras grows more complex. The physical task of moving from cage to cage to observe video camera images becomes more difficult, time consuming, and wearing. This process slows feeding schedules as the number of camera operators directly affects the number of cameras that may be observed and acted upon. SeeView™ AQM frees operators to carry out other high value fish husbandry tasks and is a valuable tool for improving feeding schedules. The use of SeeView™ AQM advances the use of existing farm cameras by allowing multiple cameras images to be monitored simultaneously for unconsumed feed pellets. The SeeView™ AQM is focused on monitoring uneaten fish feed, as it is a direct cost to farm operators, unhealthy for the environment and of no benefit to the maximization of fish growth.

Exclusive Features

n SeeView™ AQM operates using existing farm site cameras and builds on operator knowledge around current camera use and feed pellet control;
n What SeeView™ AQM sees and considers as uneaten feed pellets is saved and time stamped for operator review and evaluation;
n Monitor screen shows yellow X over pellets observed in the live video camera image. Indicating to the operator that uneaten pellets are detected but the threshold has not been met. A warning to the operator that attention at that camera location is pending;
n Monitor screen shows red X over pellets observed in the live video camera image indicating that uneaten pellets have been detected and the threshold has been met. Operator action required to adjust or close the feed gate;
n Operators can set SeeView™ AQM to monitor for high, medium, and low pellet thresholds to address site conditions or operating requirements;
n When assurances met that SeeView™ AQM properly monitors for uneaten feed pellets the operators can authorize SeeView™ AQM to directly control the feed gate on the feed broadcaster at the camera location.
