| Our
Vision
Our vision is to provide our clients with innovative aquaculture feed control solutions
that maximise fish growth and minimise production costs, achieving maximum
feeding effectiveness. From our inception in 1986 we continue to be
a market leader in the design, development, and production of fish farm feeders,
underwater cameras, subsurface lights, and feed control networks for the aquaculture industry.
The integration of feeding systems, underwater video monitoring, underwater
lighting and wireless control enables producers to achieve maximum feeding
effectiveness. Reduced costs for labour, feed handling, feed breakage,
over feeding, and energy combine to lower the total cost of production
(COP) as well as improving feed conversion ratios (FCR).
Our Engineering Design
The objective of our engineering design
is to deliver the highest possible value to our clients for their investment
in feeding and control equipment. We focus on reliability, ease of use,
durability and serviceability. The initial design is based on extensive
collaboration with our clients, beginning at the research and development
stage and carried forward through prototype development and commissioning.
- Reliability
IAS uses the knowledge gained from a large
installed base to design practical and reliable aquaculture equipment.
IAS has literally hundreds of pieces of equipment in service in marine
environments, some for over ten years. Thorough testing of new designs
ensures product reliability.
- Ease of Use
IAS uses simple, easy to understand industrial
controls in our design to ensure trouble-free operation and reduce training
workload. A number of our broadcast feeder designs use throttle control
levers similar to those used in boats as they are familiar to operators
and easily understood.
- Durability
IAS design techniques seal and protect
our equipment against moisture penetration and corrosive salt spray.
IAS addresses the need for equipment to withstand impacts through the
use of heavy gauge marine grade aluminum and durable plastics. IAS products
are built to last.
- Serviceability
Downtime is minimised by equipment that
is field serviceable through simple parts replacement using interchangeable
parts and modular assemblies. IAS is able to "design in" product
features that allow quick user servicing using access ports, quick connects,
and interchangeable components based on extensive knowledge of problems
that can occur in the field.
