HydroSpreader™ S3000
Subsurface Feed Broadcaster

The HydroSpreader™ S3000 Subsurface Feed Broadcaster is designed for safe and easy placement on any suitable sized floating structure, barge or vessel deck with its low center of gravity and unique design. Its split hopper design allows for two different pellet sizes to be loaded using feedbags or more economical bulk bags. This marine grade aluminum feed broadcaster performs in harsh environments and will last for years. All HydroSpreader™ feeders provide improved feed conversion ratios, maximum production, and lower life cycle costs.

Feed conversion ratios are improved with virtually no feed breakage using our IAS proprietary Flowrite™ venturi design. Our high output venturi draws pellets gently into a fast flowing stream of water provided from a hydraulically, gas or diesel driven pressure pump. It is this medium pressure water flow that carries the feed pellets through a manifold system and delivers them to an outlet distributor positioned in the pen at depth. This final stage of pellet delivery utilizing our unique smooth walled multiple outlet distributor head that is matched with stainless steel delivery hose and optional distribution valves to further reduce the chance of feed breakage during delivery.

Feeding production is maximized by the reduction of feeding equipment downtime when using IAS HydroSpreader™ equipment. The medium pressure, high volume, water pump is hydraulically powered as is the ChoreTime® Flex Auger that is used to meter feed from the hopper chambers to the Flowrite™ venturi. This common power supply approach eliminates the need for independent gas or electric motors and the servicing and maintenance required.

Lower life cycle costs are realized through long lasting component parts, economical operation and initial purchase price. The hopper is manufactured from marine grade aluminum and will last ten years or longer with periodic care and cleaning. Parts that routinely wear and require adjustment and replacement such as drive belts or gears that can wear have been eliminated from the design. The use of a self-priming pump reduces site set up and feed preparation time.

A number of features are incorporated into every HydroSpreader™ design to improve worker safety. Safety grates over all hopper openings and a bulk bag support frame positioned over the hopper lids reduces the chance of operator injury during loading. A split hopper lid design insures simple easy operation in all weather conditions. The hopper has been designed to insure a low center of gravity for operating safety with tapered sides maximize shoulder and access room for workers during operations.
